What do the BlueBridge Wiki Extensions for Microsoft SharePoint do?

Numerous discussions with customers allowed helped us to find the features that were really missed in the standard SharePoint wiki. For a quick overview, please see our Feature Comparison. Our features work on all versions of SharePoint v3 (MOSS and WSS).

Here are some of the functionalities that we've integrated into our Extensions:


	PDF Export & Print	One of the main uses for Wiki libraries is in technical documentation, such as handbooks, instruction manuals or guidelines. Use the Wiki Extensions for MS SharePoint to associate chapter numbers with your articles, and the tool will take care of the rest. In a few moments, your documentation (including a table of contents) will be ready and correctly paginated. You can even define XSL transformations to help maintain Corporate Image.
	Quick Upload	The BlueBridge Wiki Extensions allow you to integrate images and documents quickly and easily into your Wiki articles, without having to navigate away from the page you are editing. Simply define the default libraries for the files, and they'll automatically be uploaded to the right place and linked correctly.

	Wiki Webparts	Extend the flexibility of your wiki libraries by adding our webparts. The navigation webpart generates a dynamic table of contents next to each wiki article, or on other SharePoint pages. The document and link webparts help your users to find related information easily.

	Extended Toolbar	The new toolbar replaces the standard one and allows you to edit wiki pages more easily. Furthermore, you can use it on rich text fields in other (non-wiki) libraries and lists within WSS and MOSS.

	Quick-Access Console	By replacing the standard SharePoint console with the BlueBridge enhanced console, you can complete many context-oriented tasks without having to leave the page. Check articles in and out, and discuss potential changes directly from the wiki, and see how much time you save.

	Standardised Formatting	Defining the formatting options available to users means you can help make them stick to Corporate Guidelines. Printing and exporting to PDFs allows you to produce handbooks at the press of a button, which can easily be distributed to colleagues, customers and business partners.

	Snippets	Another way of saving time is to save text modules that can be used again and again on various wiki pages. This can be especially useful where each page of a specification should include the article number of the product in question. The BlueBridge Wiki Extensions also allow you to save templates for use across your whole SharePoint environment.
